Aug 09, 2013 What I did to fix this: Go into device manager, find your elgato & delete the driver (trust me). Disconnect & reconnect your elgato and when the drivers fail to install, use windows updates to find the driver. Took me 10 minutes & I'm recording as I type this! Does Elgato Game Capture HD device support USB 2.0 or USB 3.0? Are other USB device getting recognized on your computer? Did you try to connect Elgato Game Capture HD device cable on a different USB port? Did you try to connecting the Elgato Game Capture HD device cable of a different computer?

The HDMI port on most computers is output-only and will not accept video input. USB cables that come packaged with cameras are generally intended for file transfer and most cameras do not allow for live video monitoring via USB.

Capture devices can be external devices that deliver HDMI or SDI sources into the computer over Thunderbolt or USB, or internal cards installed into an available PCI slot on a desktop PC that allow HDMI or SDI sources to be connected to the computer directly.

Support for Capture Cards

If you need help with using the Capture card in Wirecast, we ask that you contact the manufacturer as the 1st point of support. It’s possible that you need certain drivers or recommended settings to make it work with Wirecast, and they can best assist you with this.

Devices listed below provide information on their supported driver and the interface required to connect to a computer running Wirecast.

A device driver is a computer program that operates or controls a particular type of device that is attached to a computer.

Source SDK drivers make a direct connection between a particular capture card’s SDK and the Wirecast SDK. It enables a fully optimized workflow with minimal middle-man services. Blackmagic and Magewell integration is maintained by Telestream, AJA integration is maintained by AJA.
UVC/DS/AVF drivers utilize operating system “traffic directors” and “service negotiators” to negotiate and manage connections. This adds to potential for issues to occur and potentially introduce inefficiencies. Devices using these drivers should work with Wirecast unless there are problems with the manufacturer’s driver. UVC devices use the universal driver found within both Mac and Windows operating systems. DirectShow (Windows) and AV Foundation (Mac) drivers make connections to the multimedia framework their particular operating system uses to handle video-related tasks.

Even though tests from May 2016 to the 28th March of 2017 were successful, Geniatech / EyeTV had to find out that the new technical circumstances of DVB-T2 HD as of the 29th March of 2017 did not match those of the almost one year test period.

Based on the new technical conditions big parts of quality assessment and decoding software had to be rewritten, newly structured and adapted to the new conditions. We do feel responsible for the occurring problems of our customers that occurred during the switch and are thankful for your patience and your forgiveness.

To help our customers as fast as possible eyetv lite 1.4.3 (7517) has been released immediately after the necessary quality assessment. With eyetv lite 1.4.3 (7520) we offer our customers a software update that optimizes stability and functionality of eyetv lite 1.4.3. In addition, the new eyetv lite 1.4.3 (7520) version fixes the audio issue (Dolby 5.1/ AAC on TV) that occurred when watching the channels “das Erste HD” and “Arte HD”.

Installation

If this is the first time you have launched the eyetv 4 windows, you will be asked to enter an activation key you received with your eyetv T2 lite windows edition.

Once you have activated the eyetv 4 windows, a setup assistant will guide you through the setup and configuration of the Teyetv 4 windows. You should complete each step of the eyetv 4 windows setup assistant. When prompted, please select your country and let the eyetv 4 windows auto-tune for channels.

Keep your activation keys in a safe place in case you need to reinstall the eyetv 4 windows software.
